If this is multiplayer, what could have happened is that the username you typed in is the username of an actual user, so the server pulled that persons skin when you connected, and used that...

So I was exploring the Nether on Juju's server and I got lost.
When I finally found my way back, I noticed I'd lost a few things... Namely my ears and one of my arms. :P

Lol that place actually reminds me of a Zelda palace or something.

Also as a tribute to the decreased community activity since last year (and a similar one to the 2005 one in response to the WoW craze back then), I think this topic should be renamed to Minecrack :P

If anybody is interested, I have just recently released a new version of my own multiplayer minecraft puzzle map, and it might be fun to temporarily set it up on a server and play through it :D  Anybody interested?
