it gives an error about the registration of that ocx thing. it says "   "\windows\system32\RICHTX32.OCX" is not an executable file and no registration helper is registered for this type of file "
i get this when i do run: regsvr32 \windows\system32\RICHTX32.OCX like it says on the page for windws xp. i put the file into system32... i dont know what the error is.

Edit, i went back and used the installer and it worked. It seems like the installer did more than just register the ocx file, perhaps thats why i was getting the error, because i did the others manually and if i did them with the installer it would do that one too... im not sure.

now i think im getting the same error as delnar

FREETIME!!! okay so my question is, why is it that when i click to download the first two files on the site i get some error page saying i need to register a library or something...? is that supposed ta happen? cuz lower on the page it gives me a place to dl it saying i need to do all this stuff. do i need to do all the stuff after i dl it? im not especially sure whats going on with that. all i know is i want to play this game ASAP. ima try to continue setup without doing all the stuff on the error page, if thats bad someone tell me plz.

Edit
...thats a negative, do the weird stuff on the page, trust me its worth it.

EditEdit

there are a bunch on like pges 2-3 maybe some on 1

PS
about this game already existing, it has nothing to do with zelda if you check the link. so what he should have said is that there is another mmorpg, which would be pointless because you can never have enough mmo's Q.E.D.

will the units be bigger based in the size of the real game, i went to uti and saw your sprite sheet and it look like the goliath was the size of a marine, but then there are other units with bigger sizes.

i assume it'll be tough to balance zerg with toss using only a 48 unit max. this "small" amount of units seems like it will amplify toss' power.

anyway this looks amazing, i played bw for 4 years before i got tired of it. im so happy that one of favorite games is coming to the calc. and as of this point its coming to the calc quite spectaularly.

sry, i didnt mean i cant find xlib, i meant where do i find out how to use the inverse rectangle function of xlib. i dont think its in the guru.

Edit:
nvm i found the info at maxcoderz, sice ive only been here a short while i sorta assumed that the guru was more complete than it actually is. I assumed that since it wasnt in there that you couldnt do it.

this may be late but...

when/if you use the homescreen for a graphical game without "smooth" scrolling. you can convert what you would output into a string and then use that as an almost screen buffer. if you do this it actually will shorten your code. all you do it redraw the string before you update the position. Well im not sure if it will shorten everyone's code but it defenitely shortened my perhaps unoptimized code a few bytes. plus you can use sub(str,(a-1)*16+B) as hit detection, i think its faster than matrix hit detection.

Edit by Netham45: part of your code was showing up as a smiley.
