TI-Nspire / Lua Galaga Progress
« on: December 12, 2011, 03:47:31 pm »
guys, 3rik and I are in the phase of animating the galaga sprites. he has scripted the codes to move the spacefighter. this is a learning process for me, so i'm not much help except for animating the title screen and the game over screen, so when we are finished, I will know how to make a good game using lua. Then, we can create games much faster. Here is a gif of our progress:

We'll be finished soon!

A program that removes the ti-84 os from your nspire os. And, ndless ti-84 emulation for the nspire cx.

Other Calc-Related Projects and Ideas / Downgrade Possibility?
« on: December 09, 2011, 10:52:40 pm »
Nspire student software has to have the ability to read the os of the ti-nspire. There are four ways that we might just be able to get past this ability (tell me if I am wrong):
1. Trick nspire student software into "fake-reading" the os of your nspire, allowing you to downgrade it.
2. Create a program that scans for downgrade protection in a ti-nspire os image, and removes it.
3. Create a new linking program that allows you to downgrade your nspire.
4. Downgrade ti-nspire student software.

Numbers 3 and 4 are most likely to be possible, whereas 1 and 2 may seem slightly.. er... dumb.

TI-Nspire / Re: ndless ideas
« on: December 09, 2011, 10:21:51 pm »
Hey guys. I was thinking about something as I was riding home in the car. 3d gaming on the nspire is limited to raycasting, but if someone were to make a 3d sprite, and rotate it while snapping pictures, you could program it into a 360 degree viewer, at least. Now, how you would program it into a game, I don't know, it would probably be impossible.

TI-Nspire / Lua nHancer
« on: December 07, 2011, 08:01:20 pm »
I thought of this idea when i was using tiny-3d viewer in study hall. such an awesome program thanks to chocksta   ;). But animation and typing is so slow! this gets on my nerves. So, I want to make or have a program that runs lua scripted tns files in full screen, and speeds up the frame rate. All you have to do is rename your lua scripts like this <example.lua.tns> replacing example with the name of your lua script. This is kinda like a lua emulator, except the whole concept is not an emulator, it is a more enhanced way to use lua programs and games. such a good idea, isn't it?

Humour and Jokes / Funny Experiences you have met while playing minecraft
« on: December 07, 2011, 03:29:26 pm »
Ok
so, i can't tell you one experience that i had because it is very...umm..i'll just say that i got my house burned for doing it. it involved removing my armor while i was playing on a server.
one thing that i do in minecraft that people hate is that while they are out hunting, i will go into their house and destroy their belongings
so, people eventually got tired of this, and they began taking their belongings with them.
So, i got tired of people doing that. so, i decided to go on strike.
So, i killed a creeper, got gunpowder and made tnt.
so, everybody's house that i raided, when they arrived back home, they saw a large hole in the ground. They climbed into the hole to find a sign that said "Your house has been destroyed because it has been built without the authorization of njaddison, your emperor."
That night, i found a creeper standing over my bed. i hurredly killed the creeper, but i looked and saw that my door was open. I walked into my backyard to find that my gate was open. By then it was too late. my house was destroyed by a creeper that ran into my gate, killing me and destroying my house.
I learned the Golden Rule after that experience.
But, that didn't keep me from doing the same thing over again.

Yes, i'm an administrator. In fact, I am remotely controlling my computer currently, which you need administrator access to do.

nDoom / Re: nDoom - BETA!
« on: December 07, 2011, 02:59:03 pm »
Does nDoom contain all of the cheat codes that the original game had?
People say that cheat codes make video games boring (which in some cases this is true)
But in mildly hard games like doom, I like to know a few tips that can enhance my game (yes, cheat code is a misnomer. They are really just helpful tips.)

TI-Nspire / ndless ideas
« on: December 07, 2011, 02:48:14 pm »
hi everyone.
with the release of ndless near, i want to start brainstorming some ideas. maybe we can create some new projects in c, while extended is creating ndless 3.0. then when ndless is released, we can have more awesome stuff to do on our calc.
I have an idea for an ndless program called lua nHancer. it lets you run lua scripts in full screen and also speeds up the framerate of the lua script (you will probably have to create a double file extension, like nfighter.lua.tns) . so you can get rid of that annoying ghost that makes you fire five seconds after you press the button. and, i thought of a program that compresses files on your ti-nspire when you are not using them. it's a little idea i call nZipper.
I will probably start on these projects after a take c tutorials.
so now that i have started the topic, let's brainstorm!

« on: December 06, 2011, 09:42:55 pm »
guys, I know you all are axe 84+ programmers
But npsire student software is screwed
I keep on getting the error, "Connection with handhelds is unavailable because the library cannot be accessed. Try running the program again to fix this problem". I also got the same error with nspire link software after I downloaded it. So I can't put anything on my nspire.
Please Help! The release of ndless 3.0 is coming soon, and I want to be able to put it on my calc!

I want to downgrade from os 3.0.2 to os 2.1. I may have to downgrade to os 3.0.1 in the process. IS there any way I can do this without spending any money?
