Sup Omni.
So I've been thinking about starting a club at my school pertaining to hardware and software modding/homebrew. It's a very broad topic, so hopefully it would be able to attract somewhat diverse group (of nerds). Has anybody here had experience with forming/participating in this sort of a club, and if so, how do meetings usually go? Meaning how is time allocated in the schedule? Also, should individuals work on their own projects, or should people work in groups? And, should people have a time frame to finish their projects within, or work at their own pace? Feedback is highly appreciated. 80

This is so weird. Right as I was going on here I was thinking to myself that I'd like to ask somebody about building microprocessors.
...now I'm scared. 82

Ugh, denial of service attacks are their response to everything. It's pretty uncreative at this point. But yes, Sony did deserve it.

Miscellaneous / Re: Rating system for YOU« on: April 03, 2011, 12:31:37 am »
1. I'm not too fond of it.
2. I don't mind. Everybody is entitled to his (or her) opinions. 3. I sometimes look back to see what caused it to change, especially if it did so drastically. But no, I certainly don't go crazy. 4. I rate a post up or down when I feel the poster has either done something that has contributed to the community significantly or, conversely, has done something that harms the community or makes it more hostile. 5. Not usually. 6. No. 7. I will change the rating if I think that the edit draws back what was said in the original post, that is, IF I see the edit. 87
Site Feedback and Questions / Re: Proposed site suggestions by 2 members« on: April 01, 2011, 09:05:25 pm »Ah, okay I see where you're coming from; I'm definitely in favor of user freedom. Although, there are definitely other places where people can be random and spam on the Internet, so it's not like Omnimaga is their only option. My personal opinion is that we should just do away with the spam section altogether. I don't think it really adds much to the site.I think it allows some more freedom to members. Elsewhere some people can't be random at all sometimes because they might get told to not spam, while you can do it in the Randomness section. 88

You know, I'm really starting to not like TI for things like this.

Computer Projects and Ideas / Re: Omnimaga Hang-Out« on: March 30, 2011, 10:12:36 pm »That's an odd picture, but hey, whatever you like. Are you sure that's what you want? I could alternatively pull your profile picture from Omnimaga, whatever it may be, and frame that. Actually I think it would be best to just use my profile pic. I think I was going a bit too much for obscurity with that picture anyway. |
