There. I added xLib and Other Libs to the list.

He's actually creating a shell, not a TI-OS Replacement.

Sounds good! It never occured to me to have Password Protection, as no one really tries to use my calc behind my back. (they don't know hiow :P)

TI-Nspire / Re: CAS OS on Standard TI-nspire [development idea]

I wasn't saying it was illegal. I was just saying it must not use the actual TI-Connect thing to link it. The same method could likely be used to put on CAS.

If the ACT people found out the NSpire could run a ti-89 they would ban it from the test, and move on. TI would freak out, but they wouldn't care.

I think the price thing is just because you guys live in export areas, where supply is Less than Demand. In the US, nspires cost a good 40 or 50 bucks more.

Ah good, my suggestion wasn't stupid.

So far, the program looks excellent to me. One thing I'm a little confused on:
Mode7 is a floor rendering thing, right? And raycasting is for walls, so combining them gives textured walls, floors and ceilings. Is that right?

How much more power is used by Actual 3D than Raycasting?

Yeah. That's why linux rules. :D

Honestly, viruses on calcs seem too much like a curiosity to have that much work on either side.

Introduce Yourself! / Re: Helloooo out there!

I doubt it. They took the Cod Letter really seriously. According to the video, each demo version has its own serial code attached so they could tell who leaked the demo, but I doubt that would apply to the source code.

yeah, that was it, but they said on site they'd still finish it, just never release it. Now, there is a demo preview with actual gameplay on youtube, going to zenan bridge, with Frog and Crono.

I think Square Enix should have hired them instead :P

However, it is quite large for the Iphone, isn't it? I think the installer's around 200 MB, but that may be shrinkable.

Hey, who said you needed their permission to make an unofficial port? The source code is freely available, isn't it?

However, If it dissassembles the code like you're talking about, the updates would be much harder, right?

I won't sleep well tonight.....but then again, in my area I'm the only person who knows how ASM really works. hehehe.

I was just wondering what everyone likes using. For those who don't know what it is, BBC Basic is a Real BASIC implementation on-calc. You can find it at http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/416/41608.html on ticalc.org. It really works rather well, but you should be familiar with BASIC (not TI-BASIC) before you jump in, as it is quite different.

Yes, I know that some are just the same idea for different calcs. That's why I gave multiple Votes!

I think solvable algorithms would be a good idea. Otherwise, people would complain.

Eventually, made you could add picture support! If you used XLib or Celtic III I imagine a sprite could fit into each tile quite easily.

Or you could simply have a tiling texture that only had a few bricks, and stretched it to fit. That way, it would still stretch a little, but not that bad. Or, you could have it simply cut off at the ends

Don't know how feasible this is...I haven't had much experience with this sort of thing! It Looks awesome, though! Will you be able to stand on lower portions eventually?

This project looks completely amazing. I don't know if I could put up with coding something for this long straight. Plus, I'll be able to play it when I get my Nspire!!!

Red/Blue didn't run very well on Ti-Boy, did they? I heard they crashed it, but never tried it as Zelda appealed much more to me.

Other Calculators / Re: Modded Calculator?
« on: April 12, 2010, 11:27:27 pm »
The least risky mod I have seen (and one of the more practical) was the AAA to AA mod, as it only modified your battery cover. You never had to open your calculator, so there was no risk of bricking.

I believe the motivation was that AAs are cheaper and have a longer life than AAAs, but are larger.
