Darn I wish I had a 92+/v200, I would love to try this! I only got a 89T unfortunately. :(

How's the speed like by the way? It really looks great. :D

Well, I'm glad to say that I have begon on a port for the 89 series :)
I have already created smaller sprites, so the only thing to do is change some numbers in my source.

Thanks! Speed is quite good, much better than the first version. I will try to make an animated screenshot to demonstrate the speed (as soon as I find a decent port of calc capture for Linux).

I am proud to announce the release candidate of BlockBreaker 2!

However, I still have to make more levels, as there are only 8-9.
And, I was hoping if some of you guys want to take it out for a spin and see what you think about it.
As for as I know I smashed all the bugs, but nobody's perfect :)
It currently only works on the Ti-92Plus/V200, but if enough people beg I will try to port it to the 89 series.
I attached a zip of game to this post, so have fun!

This is looking great! It's the first time I check this images and me likes!

I can't wait for an animated image to understand the gameplay, though.

Ok, animated screenshot attached :)
Real gameplay is faster though, the emulator is slower than a  real calc.

Edit: This animated screenshot is real bad, I'll try making another one

It's good to hear that there is a TI-89 port in the works. I look forward to trying it. Also, speed looks pretty decent even though the emulator is a bit slow, so that's a good sign. =)

The screenshot is totally no reference, it looks just awful. I'm going to play with the settings on calc capture a bit.

Edit: New screenshot, this one is to fast, the real speed is between this screenshot and the one in the post above.

Thanks for the compliment, ztrumpet :)

The 89 port of BlockBreaker is basically finished, I just have do some cosmetic changes.
Because the screen of the 89 is allot smaller than that of the 92+, I had to resize all 8x8 sprites to 5x5 (ouch).
And as result of that the blocks look totally different than the 92+ ones.
I have attached a screenshot of the 89 version. Is is clear enough, or does it look awful?

You probably mean '... is basically finished'
Anyway, It's ok. It's a bit sad for the pics, but it came out quite good.

Wow looks really nice, and even if the TI-89 sprites are way different, they still look pretty great IMHO. Nice job so far, also the speed seems nice for BASIC. I am happy there's a TI-89 version coming soon. :D

89 version released!
I attached it to the first post as bbb89.zip.

Now I just need to make more levels (more hard ones) :)

Edit: Aarg, my brother just noted that my character resembles very much the character in http://ourl.ca/7461
