ya, that's too bad.  even w/ the gs removed, I don't think it'd fit still.

Yea, you're probally right. Even though grayscale takes up ALOT of space, I still don't think it would be enough. It would take ALOT of work to port it to something that would be plausible on the 83+ and alot of features would have to be cut.

I'm sure it's *possible,* just absurdly difficult.

True... 83+ is most likely out of the question. "Possibly" an 83+SE or an 84+, but even that would require pure assembly. o.oblink.gif

UV has over 600Kb of data files alone. With the TTPack compression utilities, I have managed to compress the data files to less than 200Kb. But not all of the data files are compressed. It requires RAM to uncompress the data; so I had to find a balance between what to compress and what to keep uncompressed.

 Somewhere around 95% C and 5% 68K ASM.

68K ASM is fun to mess around with... but not that much fun. ;)wink.gif

95% C? well gee, might as well just say it is in C!  :Ptongue.gif So what do you use that small amount of ASM for?

That is what I heard too. But, frankly I have no experience with Z80 assembly. :(sad.gif

I had a coding marathon last night... I stayed up until 3am reworking a large portion of the combat loop to assist with the enemy combat AI. And, I am very pleased with the results! :Dbiggrin.gif

Ultima V is now at 90%  :w00t:woot.gif

Wow very great job Ranman. I love coding marathons! :)smile.gif

I had to finish the code before I forgot my ideas. <_<dry.gif

Plus... UV has so much code right now, it is beginning to get unmanageable -- almost. I wouldn't want to forget where I left off. That would suck! :gah:fou.gif
