Yea, I guess.  Are we actually going to start doing this because if we are, I'll start working on a development site type thing.

Well, we have me, you, dragon_lance, CDI, necro, and xlibman (I think anyways), so I'd say it's a go.  Now, here's the areas that we need people and the ones that we already have people.

Graphics
-Necro (I'm assuming here)
-BCTurk (If Necro gets overloaded/we need alot of graphics)

Storyline
-BCTurk
-Necro (He was giving ideas)

Developement
-CDI (The devkits and more)
-Tenniskid493 (The website thingy)

Coding
-Tenniskid493 (Assuming)
-Dragon_lance (Routiens)
- (We could use a couple more ppl here)

Do we need a website?  I'd be willing to do it if you guys think we need it and would use it.

I can port to the 85/86 if you want, I am fairly proficcient with the 86, and the 85 is nearly the same calc, just missing some stuff.

I really wish I had more time to contribute,but... *looks at sig*

i dunno for a website, we could do it so it look like Omnimaga with the skins and all but we could just have a forum for team project as well and post stuff here. I doubt I would be able to help tho for all this and I am the one who kinda prefer to work alone on project , sry :(sad.gif

Thats ok xlibman.  We understand. :Dbiggrin.gif

As for the website, do you guys think a topic would work out ok here at Omnimaga, because I'm a little busy to make a site.  I could do it but having a topic would be easier for me.

i think we should keep everything on one site, so basically this one. We could have a topic for recent screenshots, one for progress, one for discussion and help maybe

@Tenniskid - Well, whatever you were referring to here

@dragon_lance - I think that as a group project we should try a new design (aka not a port or a design that is like an already published game).  As necro suggested, sci-fi or modern, or fantasy seems like a good starting point.

@tifreak8x - We would have to see, but that sounds good to me.

EDIT: Also, does anyone actually want to do a Turn-based strategy?  If not, RPG I assume?

We dont absolutely have to make a RPG actually, it could be any kind of game, providing its not too much complicated. Since Omnimaga is not only rpg related anymore we can do anything, even a computer game not related to calcs at all. The only thing is that if its a calc RPG is that it will be not only in the programming team archives but the RPG one as well ;)wink.gif

We could do a game featuring characters from games we made so far (included old ones) and make a RPG with them. If BASIC wasnt slow we could have made Super smash bros type game :Dbiggrin.gif

If you're gonna do Basic I think that a turn based strategy game would be pretty cool. It'd be something a bit different anyways. Basic is probably too slow to do anything real-time. Especially on the regular 83+'s. :'(

good idea xlibman, if only basic wasn't too slow.... As for turn-based strategy games, one of my old dreams was to port advance wars to Calc, now that just might be do-able with xlib's 16*16 tilemapper. We could even do it in grayscale (*winks at xlibman). :)smile.gif an rpg would be cool too, along the lines of FF?

Maybe final fantasy legend one? It's a really simply done old gameboy rpg. Should be fairly easy to port to z80 calcs.
