Texas Instruments has allowed TI-BANK team to publish the official Lua documentation that was published by error a few days ago. It will be available at Inspired-Lua soon. A wiki has opened there as well.

In other news, Lua development continues to progress. Recently Levak has released a Lua Sudoku clone on TI-BANK, with menus and the ability to use the mouse as well.

You can download it here.

I personally still think we need to remain a bit skeptical about them -- I have a feeling licenses will needed to develop anything, and only those who are beta testing on TI-BANK will get free ones.  Though please, anyone who knows differently (hopefully) correct me.

To be honest what I think is that the official SDK might not be free. This might be the main downside. In other words people may make a freeware one, then TI might try to block it to continue making money from theirs.

I suspect there will be another os update that will allow nspire to only run lua programs that have been sanctioned by ti.  That way they can keep their teacher customers happy.  Interesting that this all came about after a lot of people turned their attention to the Prizm and got programs up and running there (ya gotta lov C).  If I was ti, I'd be concerned to.

Well, the guy who leaked info and samples had a Tetris game, too, so in other words, they're not totally against gaming. I just fear only people with money will be able to develop for the Nspire and others will have to risk themselves on warez sites.

How do you get the sudoku game to start on the calculator? It only lets me type in numbers, but there isn't an actual game there.

Another big news!

TI has just granted us the right to host their official Lua tool ("Script_Tools.zip" file).
Which means you can now download it freely.
(although you may not rehost it or directly link it)
