News / Re: Ndless v3.1 beta for OS v3.1 with TI-Nspire CX support released
« on: February 12, 2012, 02:30:32 pm »
Oh, you need to replace the ndless resources file with the new one. Else, it is just like the previous version of ndless. A new ndless resources file is released with each new update of ndless.

TI-Nspire / Re: Graphics Drivers for the TI-Nspire
« on: February 12, 2012, 01:43:42 pm »
Here is a list of games, game engines, and game console emulators that I found that use SDL:
Doom 3
Heretic II
Quake 4
DOSBox
DOSEMU
Doomsday engine
Dgen (Sega Genesis Emu.)
Fceux(NES emulator)
MAME(Multi-Arcade Machine Emulator)
Mupen64(Multi-Platform Emulator for the N64)
ZSNES(SNES Emulator)
VisualBoyAdvance(Emulator for All gameboy models including game boy, Super Game Boy, Game boy Color, Game boy advance, Game Boy Advance SP)
Mednafen(Multi-System Emulator)

Some of these might not be able to use on the nspire because of it's small ram and storage space. But C++ in SDL could allow 3D graphics drivers.

Wow, of my whole time of playing minecraft, I have only found diamond once, and I tried to mine it with a stone pickaxe, so it disappeared.

That keeps on happening to me also!
Of course, I have a non-CX, so maybe the one I downloaded was just the demo.

TI-Nspire / Graphics Drivers for the TI-Nspire
« on: February 11, 2012, 10:51:22 am »
SDL, or Simple DirectMedia Layer, has to ability to work with many languages, such as C++, C#, Lua, Java, etc. SDL's compatibility with C++ could allow us to create 3D graphics drivers for the nspire. When nSDL is released, I will take SDL and C++ tutorials, and see how I can be a factor in creating these drivers. I'm not saying it's going to be easy, it's not, but maybe I can see how much of a help I can be to people who are eagerly wanting to enhance the nspire even more.
Oh, and by the way, the Sega Dreamcast uses SDL 3d drivers. Maybe an emulator could be possible. We'll have to see.

nSDL / Re: SDL for the TI-Nspire
« on: February 09, 2012, 08:22:14 am »
I found out that SDL can be used to run flash programs. So, we can play flash games on the nspire! They will have to be decompiled first, though.

Edit:
What the f***!
Somebody just randomly downrated my post! If there isn't any possible way flash can be ported to the nspire, then I am officially dumb!! Which in that case, I am smart, but I have no common sense.

Seriously, can't you have some imagination, people? I am learning more and more about my nspire every day, and the way I learn things is by asking questions, some are dumb questions, and by being corrected when I suggest something that can't be done! So please cut me some slack! I haven't been this angry since my friend put a pressure plate in front of my door in minecraft, letting mobs come into my house!!!!

I am a nice person, and I would never downrate someone's post, no matter how dumb it is. If anything, I would press the like button, and then tell them their mistake without being mean to them. But you guys are not me! So please put yourself in my shoes, and see how I feel (but plug your nose: my shoes stink).

TI-Nspire / Re: Raze for the nspire?
« on: February 05, 2012, 03:57:59 pm »
Would it be possible to convert the game to c using adobe alchemy?
And if not, could I or someone else try to make a recognizable clone?
If it's possible to convert it to c, I will need somebody to compile it into a tns file after I convert it.

Couldn't the ndoom files be converted to grayscale to bring down the filesize?

well serial could be possible we saw sound with the os 3.0 lua printf function. Anything is possible with a great deal of modding and cracking.

Oh, will multiplayer play be possible on the nspire (I would prefer to game wirelessly by modding the nspire navigator, but if not, just usb connection) , and would it be possible to do a nspire doom deathmatch against a bot if you don't have any body to play multiplayer with?

Guys, doom is awesome and all, but we don't have wolfenstein 3d on the nspire! and all of the file sizes for ndoom are huge, so I have to use my space wisely. I really need help!
